GOV.UK

The Project

This project showcases the results of a CIF Usability Test carried out on the Gov.uk website, specifically focusing on the Employed and Self-Employed section. Based on the report's analysis, suggestions and designs were developed to enhance the site's user interface for mobile phones and tablets.

*This usability study was undertaken for the sole purpose of producing a usability test for Kingston University in December 2020. Gov.uk have not approved nor have been asked to approve this usability test.

Research

Surveys and literature reviews were utilized to conduct both quantitative and qualitative research. Usability testing through observational studies revealed key personas utilising the Employed and Self-Employed sections of the site, which informed the redesign recommendations for mobile and tablet devices.
